The Last Five Books I Read.
Well, most of the last bunch of books I read were textbooks. So the Last Five will end up being more of a last three. Because my memory just isn’t that long right now.
- Spenser books. Okay, I guess this is actually about ten books, instead of one. I love detective stories, and mysteries, and the fabulous man got me hooked on Robert Parker’s Spenser series. I can go through a couple of these in a weekend, but I’m trying to pace myself so that I don’t run out by the end of the summer.
- The Captive, Proust. I’ve been slowly, but surely, meandering my way through Proust’s À la recherche du temps perdu, since 2004, I think. I’m currently in volume five, The Captive. It’s beautifully written, and just so enjoyable to let the language wash over you.
- Escape, Carolyn Jessop. Meh. This roman de gare was on my fabulous man’s coffee table, loaned to him by a friend. It had some interesting parts, and for someone who knows nothing about polygamy it might be interesting.
